just an idea here....

but i think you should put nuts and bolts in a few of the spot weld holes to further reinforce the front end. believe it or not but not having it properly secured will allow your front end to twist, bend, and do all sort of wonky things. and your front end lines wont hold very well either.

its a STRUCTURAL part of the front end and should be reinstalled accordingly.

It seems fine the way it is. Its already had to support my weight on multiple occasions and I have enough modified bracing on the front end that its not going to matter. And its not that stuctural. The bumper support is more structural than the core support on this car.

This biggest issue with the core support is to properly tie the hood down.

Do a sweet burn out then toss them. They are camber worn way past the wear bar.

It is not structural. Period. The structural members in the front end are the lower frame rails, the lower radiator support, and the upper rails that run to the strut tops. All of those members are multi-layer, heavy gauge steel. The core support is stamped single layer steel. All it does is hold up the headlights, top of the radiator, and hood latch. On the cars that followed the S-chassis, this part is plastic.
