why is there even RTV in the first place?! nowhere should there be RTV involved in an SR20 headgasket job aside from the coolant neck and the valve cover gasket.

he just put it on that front cover because theres a small gap like someone machined it or something so it was leaking oil through the front cover, so the owner decided the put RTV to seal the front up better.

just got done installing greddy rocker arm stoppers on a s14 sr and no rtv was needed?????????????

is rtv the mad tyte jdm thing? am i missing something
