purple cervix smasher track car build
This weekend drove my room-mate Adam's car (the "Red Dragon") down to Desoto after working all week to get ready for the event.
- Dual Cam P/S Rack (Working P/S rack) w/ new tie rod ends
- replaced sticking Caliper on Passenger front
- Replaced Rotors (others were WAY past the point of no return.. )
- Had Ranlet weld the diff
- Stance Coilovers
- Had Azenis mounted
- BEE*R Rev-limitter for the event
- Nardi Classic 350mm
- K-model Bride seat/Ergo II seat
- Alignment
Car performed fine, definitely different than driving a full adjustable arms caged car
At the beginning of the night drove like crap due to the super bald tires + rain c-c-c-combo.
So I thought I'd try the 17in Nexen's I brought. Fuck. Understeer.
So after the only 3 practice runs we would be getting, I thought I'd go ahead and switch to all four 17's.. but instead of the hassle of rolling the front fenders and banging in the fender wells I asked Corifto if I could borrow a pair of his tires to run for qualifying. He hooked it up, and lowered tire pressure to 30
lowered the fronts to 28
Opposed to the 30 front 35 rear like I usually run.
The car seem to have WAYYY less under-steer with the similar sized tires than w/ the 17's (Which were rubbing as I initiated hahaha)
After only two qualifying runs I linked both runs w/ the first being better than the second w/ sweet shotgun firework noises lol won 3rd place overall because of the lack of advanced drivers they made a Top 6
It was very fun to drive again after the lack of driving since September..
I cant wait to have another car I can drive that isn't a running pile of horseshit
sweet lemonade..
