It's my daily driver. I might slide her occasionally, like around females at red lights. Other than that I really don't plan on beating her. I just want to make sure that if I go to the track and run it. The rear end isn't going to ge ate to shredds.
Oh god, we have a new DK >_>

I'm buying it as a daily but with drifting capabilties.
Will a battery box hold up, if I mount it with 4 self tapping screws wit nice sized washers. Battery now is being help with a strap.

I have a lot of items you can purchase you can make your car feel better drifting.
ALSO. Go to track events. (there is one coming up in December in Bradenton..)
From what I remember Casey had a J30 and is broke at the track and I dont know what he put in it.
Did you not buy it from him yet or are you just windowshopping for what you want to do for it next?...
as far as diff.. it depends on money being an issue. I personally preach learn to drift open (or vlsd) to gain SOME sort of car control and get used to what the car is going to do then switch to something a little easier to break traction: 2-way or Welded
y' know what...... just do this v...

Here is what you need for a well setup drift car:
1 - Fix what's broken (TC Rods, Leaky PS rack, Overheating, Drivetrain layout, auto to 5-speed etc)
2 - Coilovers
3 - Racing Seat
4 - LSD
5 - Tires, Gas, Maintenence, Practice, repeat
Anything else is just icing on the cake.
You DON'T need:
Lots of power
Lots of steering angle
Hydraulic Ebrake
"Wheel fitment"
Short shifter
Drift button
Harness
Cage
Carbon fiber anything
This isn't to say that you can't do a lot with less, or that these oter things don't make it easier or more fun, but for all itents and purposes, this is the difinitive answer to all those "What do I need to drift my ____?"

I actually am pretty good. I started be hind kohls doing doughnuts,to doing figure 8s around trees in the lot. I'm no pro. But understand how to control the slide. My last sr was linked to a j30, not sure of gearing. I am not window shopping, I have money and am in cntact with him on purchasing the car.
