Explain how you'd do it.
GARAGE MINIZ ƒKƒŒーƒWƒ~ƒjƒbƒc

They ran a sr20 in a hardbody with a stock radiator and an intercooler fit in the situation. If anything, find a radiator close to the size of a hardbody in dual core aluminum and be done with that.

Your really over complicating things with buying lower compression pistons and rods and shit. Mewantkouki, on this very same forum ran a t3/t04e on a fully stock block KA24. All he has was fuel mods and a tune, you dont need more than that.

Not to mention, with anymore than the 250-300hp the stock block can handle. Your truck wont be good for anything at all. I had simple bolt ons on my sohc ka in my truck, with a brand new 205/55/15 I could spin till 3rd.

So you're saying that with a stock KA-DE, mated with a T28, will be beast enough?
Without any internal work?
And am I being smart about wanting to acid dip the block and clean up the thing before dropping it in?

Yeah, doing a stock rebuild and felpro or stock headgasket with ARP head studs will be plenty for 300hp. You can use a 240sx intake manifold, for ease of intercooler pipe fitting.

But if it were my truck, because this is exactly what I wanted, this is what I would do.

frontier dohc motor
s14 upper intake
s13 lower intake
stock rebuild, acl bearings and stock headgasket
arp head studs
470 or 550 side feed injectors (nismo, or something other than DW/Venom)
megan/china bottom mount t2 manifold
s14/15 t28
small fmic, the slim cxracing one would be fine
Enthalpy tune on a s13 ECU

You can run a 300zx clutch on your stock fw, for more power. Look up "white bunny clutch" and you can find out what all shit works.

You can also use a 240sx transmission, it will bolt to the stock transmission bracket/mount. But you will need a new driveshaft if you do this, might as well make it a 1 piece while your at it.

And they make Lockers for the Hardbody axle, or your can go with a yota part or even a 8.8 w/ locker and disk brakes from an Explorer.

If you have any questions hit me up man, I have alot of info written down from when I had my truck.

Well, I understood maybe 4 things from that.
I'm a kid who knows his shit, but I'm still young, ya know?
I'll need alot of help.
I know how I'm gonna set mine up, just dunno how to do the swap with efficiency and everything.
Heres my setup:
-KA-DE (rebuilt, cleaned up, new gaskets, arp head studs)
-Walpro fuel pump and I guess 300-400cc injectors
-small front mount intercooler
-S13 automatic ECU (no speed limiter)
-Performance distributor/coils
-240 intake manifold
-dual S13 exhaust cams (little trick my friend is good for power)
-aftermarket radiator
-Fill in the rest with any ideas?

Thats basically what I just said.

But scratch the auto ecu, a tune can eliminate the speed limiter. And I have seen plenty of people make 300hp on stock coils. As far as injectors, 470-550cc is my suggestion.

Alright, cool.
Thanks man, and hit me up with a PM with your number so I can hit you up for advice and exclusive updates on the truck, haha.
And I want everyone to know, depending on when I can go back to work at Maaco, the KA swap will be started either this summer or into my junior year.

UPDATE: I dropped the truck off today and dyed some of the interior pieces yesterday and I'll post some pics up once I'm finished with all of them.

Update: Just a little teaser of what I've been working on, and sorry for the lack of updates. Midterm Exams FAIL.
Anyways, enough banter, and moar pics!

The dash.

Misc trim pieces.

*note: flash is gay and made the dash look lighter than the other pieces. They ARE color matched*
More to come!

And UPDATE: I got the floor welded together, and the window leaks are soon to be fixed, along with the hole in the bed and bedliner coat applied.
