they were either purchased off ebay or at a local bone yard for bikes cant remember

Im pretty sure all you need to do is cut the stock valve stems and your good, not 100%. 1NZ-FE, xB and Echo, 1NZ-FXE is prius

yea, same engine, the X designation is the hybrid drive.
Hmm ill look into it and buy one tomorrow.

Don't forget that xB and Yaris engines standard Otto cycles, and the Prius is an Atkinson cycle. Maybe that X stands for a bit more.

So you're going to run that 1UZ on a PS2k? There's not enough outputs to run sequential ignition and injection. Batch fire the injectors?

yea i would have to keep with he batch fire. it would still be a huge leap over the oem ecu and its "lets pull all the timing so this guy doesnt spill his purple drink while driving" tune.
As for the fXe, subject wouldnt that just be in a different cam profile?(tons of intake duration, causing a mild supercharging effect of the returned air from one clyinder back into the plenum and other runners with intake valves starting to open)
I have not read up on that in forever...
