trading crap for different crap. david48 "build"
Since then, my dad started a used car dealer, and I detail all the cars there. So yeah, I have more than enough experience.
That's not really 10 years of car detailing experience... So instead of building two shitty cars, why not just do one nice car?
I never understood why broke ass kids try to build two cars.

I'm more than happy with how my white one is now. It's nice to have a really clean car, but it's also nice to have a car that you can screw around in and not worry about shit. If something breaks or it gets totaled, it's not a big deal. But if my white car were totaled I would be heart broken.
And if I sold the black one, I would only get a couple hundred out of it. I can buy, what, lowering springs and maybe a few other things? I would rather have another car.

So you could have bought some springs and struts for the white car and made it more fun to drive and look better at the same time.
Instead you have a second car to pour money into that looks like absolute shit.

Yes that just about sums it up. But I don't really ever drive the white car hard enough to warrant a true need for lowering springs.
Dude leave this kid alone, he's doing what most of us dreamed of doing at 14-15, and that's working on cars. That's all I thought about when I was that age, but I didn't have the opportunity to do so. He's 15, and I think it's safe to assume he has alot more than you did when you were 15.
Good job OP, keep up the hard work.

What's to make you think it's safe to assume that I wasn't working on cars when I was 15? Just because you were sitting around dreaming cars with your thumb up your ass? How is that even relevant? Does it matter either way? (for what it's worth I had a pretty sweet SW20 MR2 when I was 15... just like he used to have).
I'm just trying to figure out why he's wasting his time "building" a second car when his first car isn't built? I'm not trying to discourage him, I just don't understand the logic. If he just focused on ONE car and saved up for parts for it, eventually he'd have a sweet car. But no one has patience these days... it's all about building shitty "drift missles" covered with zip ties and primer.
