Well, I figured me and my picture whore self would start a build thread on my TR typical 240. I'm not done yet, actually I'm far from done. I'm still not sure if I'm going to do a legit paint job on it, or just rattle can. I think if I go through the bother of getting the core support straightened out, it might get real paint. I'm not sure just how much money will be spent.
The night I picked it up-
There's a bag on the window because the driver's side window regulator was busted. I already took care of that.
And day 1 of work began. I took out almost all of the interior to clean it out. It's easier to work on a clean car imo.
Primer on some spots to see what I have to work with
This pic shows all 4 colors it has. It was originally white, then spray painted black. The hood and driver fender came from a red car, and I'm using grey primer. Extra TR points!
The next day-
Zipties are more drift/TR points!
The interior came back together
Then I figured out I had a busted passenger side front hub. I'm still looking for one btw.
This is pretty much how it sits right now. I'm going to be putting in a new steering rack today. I might work on the paint also.

One lug was missing for a long time, and I guess the extra stress on the opposite side made it crack a little. Then when I tried to remove it, it got really tough and then it made a loud snap. I guess that's where the the big chunk broke off.
lol Thanks. That interior cleaning is the work of 9-10 years of detailing experience. My dad started my young on that and it really sticks with me. Dirty interiors make me cringe.
Well, my mom wants it for a DD because she always complains about gas for her truck. So once it's driveable, she'll probably do that. And it's mostly hers. I own about half of it. So once I turn 16 and get a job, I'll pay her what she has in it (a couple hundred), then I'll use it to lurn how to drift gud.
lol It's true. He started teaching me things when I was 5-6. I remember he made me use armor all wipes on an old Supra Celica he had. Memories <3
