Exclamation Project RB

Sup Peeps
Kinda bored so i thought i would do a build thread.

RB will be going in my S14,

Picked up an RB25 last Oct and began the inspection and basic rebuild

(whats that on the right???? a 20B!!!)

The Wife seems pretty excited

So put the wife to work breaking it down

Got the head pulled cylinder walls look good.

Cleaned the tops of the piston

Checked for Gold, luckily no gold

I want to say the turbo is blown, but im hoping the engine was laid on it side causing the oil to seep through the seals

Head bolted back down with ARP's

Just got in my ISIS Greddy Style intake manifold

comparison between stock and the ISIS Greddy Style

Got the IM bolted on.

Bolted up easy had to bend a line on the Oil cooler but that was it.

FINALLY!!!! After 2 months i finally got my N1 Water pump! Along with my Nismo thermostat. (Dipstick is for a Neo, so it wont work with a regular RB25)
I had to cancel my W/P order at West Covina and order it from Nissanparts.cc

Now i can finally put the front section back to gether as well

I got the Water Pump and thermo installed

Can you Say TD06 20G??? (Not my Turbo, and will not be using)

Peek-a-boo

I'll upload the rest of the progress later, if anyone cares.

Thanks guys ^

I also Got my Greddy Timing Belt and New OEM Oil pan in ^_^

Got my Core in, Got it unbelievably cheap.

It was brand new just damaged in shipment to Enjuku.

Cleaned it up a little bit, but what do you expect with just a hammer, screwdriver and some pliers

So I got my Manifold in, I ended up just getting am XS-Power Manifold...... oh well

DO NOT BUY SHIT FROM XS-POWER THEY ARE WORTHLESS PIECES OF SHIT HERE ARE PICS SHOWING WHY.
NO R&D GO INTO MAKING THESE MANIFOLDS

Had some issues mounting this manifold.....

So despite reading posts from what ppl have said about XS Power, i purchased the Manifold to give them a chance.........
Turbo bolted up fine but the real challenge appeared to be the Head.....

Took an hour of dremeling to get the manifold to bolt up to the head

The top #2 and #5 cylinder bolt hits the manifold so i just shaved a little off the bolt

So after an hour of dremeling I got it to bolt up barely

Clearance is ridicules

Also the oil return hose dosent exactly reach so i either need to bend the tube or get a longer hose

Looks pretty?

Sent a (Friendly) Email to SSAC with pics and explanation of what was wrong with the manifold. So they sent me another (revised) manifold

Clears the V/C now, so i can remove the V/C without pulling the manifold ^_^

But now i got this nastyness inside on the runners 4-6...sigh this is what i get for cheaping out ;o;

Old manifold runners 4-6 were alot better

Made my own sticker too.

The the ISIS fitment is pretty good.

Bolted up to the head just fine, I had to bend a line on the Oil cooler to clear the IACV i think. and the water manifold was a little tricky but no big deal.

great deal for the price.

Ill probably be using the Q45 TB, but might switch to the Stock. I dont know yet.
