cool, i can tell you some cool roads to drive, and neat stuff to check out.
the only thing that sucks is a lot of stuff is really spread out, so its a long drive to do anything really. and i seem to get lost. a lot.

Tim, all those cars you posted with the exception of the black 330 have over 130k... When those bimmers break they aren't cheap. Been there, done that. The estoril blue sedan is nice, but auto is teh fail imo.
I wasn't doubting your mechanical inclination. Simply saying it isn't cheap or easy to source for replacement parts for those cars. There's always Arizona and California though... Apparently all e30's and e36's make the pilgrimage there to die. I don't think a 240sx has the capacity for comfort... although I have yet to get a ride in Epstein's Cadillac. I wanna see what all the foam injection, spc, kwv3, catalytic fuss is about.
Sometimes I wonder why I hang onto my car myself. It's noisy, rides like a tank and is going to contribute to my hearing loss and developing IBS. I think people who own s-chassis have more of an "unfinished business" approach to their cars. (however this only applies to people with non shitbox cars...) Most if not all end up becoming money pits. I swear if anything happens to my motor it's back to stock and never touching the car other than suspension again.
