Condensor to come out tomorrow. AC lines in the front and the core are both toast. More room for the "new" radiator and intercooler set up... Yes the plans still go on for the supercharger. Radiator and intercooler side by side in place of the original radiator and condensor. Any one have a side mount that want to give away??

Default Day#3 of the rebuild...

Still pulling things off and assessing the damage...

Condenser had to go...

It was pretty tweaked

AC condenser, lines and supports removed....

The offset of the top portion of the core support...<sigh>

And the first set back...a busted mototr mount...of which i have a spare set.

More tomorrow... Just received a lead on more parts. Hope there isnt a big drive involved. This car was my daily.

^ that sucks about the crash. thats why i always run good tires up front helps not to hydro as bad when shit hits the fan. but its awesome that you are going to fix it all up again. good luck

Default Motor mount replacement...

Here is the torn motor mount i discovered...

This is what the replacement looks like now that its in...

The Motor sits as it should...before the replacement it was sitting up and back on the passenger side, and was making contact with the bottom of the strut bar. Now with the replacement in there is a good 1 1/2 - 2 inches between the valve cover and the bar...

Next challenge....the pull

New radiator from sean1...fits nicely into my plan to eventually supercharge the car:

And an electric fan...

If you can picture the smaller radiator offset to the drivers side w/ something similar to a side mount intercooler right next to it on the passenger side...both mounted in the core support.

Super short intercooler piping to avoid lag but still cool the charge....

now...back to the rebuild.

Default radiator installed...it lives again

Installed the radiator and electric fan...

And the e-fan too...

Also did some beating and pounding the straighten the front. Picked up a winch type deal to do some pulling of the top port of the core. almost ready for panels. productive weekend.

dang! i leave for a couple weeks and come back to see you got in a wreck. that sucks so bad. what happened? did you move? or was that your new house i stopped by? its been crazy so i forgot. lol. we just got done moving ourselves. right near crescent lake park now. best part is, I actually have a garage to work in. Woot!
if you need an extra hand with anything on the car, let me know and I'll come by and see what I can do to help out.
how's that smaller radiator working out? I know it has been cooler lately so hopefully it has been more than enough. we'll have to stress test it once you get the car back together. maybe shove a big blanket or something in front of it to limit the air flow some to simulate a mid summer day.
You working on bolting up your supercharger while you fix your car, or you gonna hold off on that until the car is all straight again?

Bumper Support installed, as you can see the car is still a little twisted...

This was the side that took the most of the damage...

Slowed by the rain...but still making progress...

Empire - I can tell you the plans for the supercharger are on hold until the car is straight-ish again. More than likely, i'll get the charger finished before I to any paint work on it though.
