Before and After...a Refresh and Update Project on a '93 s13 Hatch
I've owned my '93 s13 hatch for a while. And I've done a few basic things to the car in the years I've owned it. Here is a photo of how it appeared up until recently. Nothing fancy...a standard flat black TR special. The hatch is a base model. It has 205,xxx on the chassis, which in part is why i'm starting this thread. The car is in need to updates and replacement of items that wear over time.
Bushings and brakes are on the way. The car was lowered with AGX dampers (thanks Joe) and Megan coils. Although its not coilover low, its a big improvement over the 4x4 ride and stance it use to have.
Here are the end results of a recent visit to the paint shop. I took it back to the original color, Sapphire Blue...which is an interesting color. For those that have seen the color you will know what I mean when I say it transitions nicely to several shades of blue and/or purple, even near black, depending on lighting. Its a base/clear...for the year and mileage on the car it turned out pretty good. I still need to take a final picture of the car with all the trim done and installed. I'll post up more steps and pix as time permits.
I apologize in advance for this project thread, it is my first attempt so it may not flow as well as the ones others have posted.
And now that it looks so much better I need to order a new one of these.
I feel like I've done a few things out of sequence, like replacing window glass before i got it painted. Heck...that being said, the paint should have been done last of all, but it always seems like something would come up that would stop me from getting it squirted. I finally said to hell with it and had it done. KNow full well I'll need to be extra carfeful when doing any repair or update from here on out. I'll look into getting better pix soon, these were taken with my phone. Thanks for looking!

Thanks Guys!! Ive been lucky enough to find some good people to deal with on TR and its helped a bunch along the way. Hope to see you all @ a QSL meet soon. Reese, those wheels and treads did the trick. And Sean, i had to go out and get a front strut bar just to match the solid feeling the one you sold me gave. More pix coming soon!!

LMAO...poor bastard...i took mine off before, knowing that the 17 year old emblem would fit the bill. Thanks for sharing though!
