'95 s14 project
I really don't care either way. Forum rules though so I have to uphold them. Nothing personal.
Did a little work on it this week.
I replaced the old ignition switch since my wipers, power mirrors, and radio stopped working.
Old one
So I turned the car on and the mirrors and wipers were working again... but the radio was still not working.
Tested every fuse in the car, they were all good. Unplugged the radio and checked all the wires with a multimeter... found that the previous owner spliced into the ignition power wire for something, then took it out. He did a shit crimp job when he took it out, and it came undone while driving I guess (at least I know my crimping on the radio harness was good). So I fixed that and now it's good to go thank fucking god. 8 Hours of driving with no radio SUCKS.
Here it is working
All back together
New (to me) uncracked radio trim
My a/c compressor had a stripped bolt hole. Had no clue if it worked or not, so instead of fixing the hole, bought a used one for 30 shipped.
SoledOut gave me a quick hand getting the old one out of the car and the new one in.
All bolted in, going to get freon later this week.
Found another previous owner issue. He tried to patch a hole in the corner light with some black epoxy shit.
Gotta grab another one.
Oh... a jack rabbit decided to run out in front of me the day I picked up my car from paint at 3:15 am. Obviously wasn't meant to be since it stopped running when I swerved.
Bought a 96 grill finally, will be in sometime next week. Next on the list is finding some good coilovers.
Will update when I accomplish more.
