I miss both my white coupe and my black hatch. my white coupe taught me a lot and I held onto it for years til I finally had no choice but to let it go. I really regret ever selling it.
my black hatch was just a part of me. It wasn't anything special. Hell, the a/c only worked for 2 weeks until the compressor blew up. I didn't have power steering because the line was busted. But the engine ran beautifully. I cried when I smacked the guard rail. It was like someone I held close to my heart just got hurt. She was a major pain in the ass at times, but I loved her. No other car I have ever had has had the soul that car had. That was "my" car. Everything else has just been the car I owned, or the car I was driving. Even with as busted as she was, I defended her to all end. It was like I didn't just own that car, it was more like I had a relationship with that car.

yeah, some sweet bullet holes would match the WW1/WW2 Dazzle camo paint scheme quite nicely... maybe they'll let me park it in the infield at desoto, and we can put a bunch of holes in it... actually a pretty good idea... just aim for non vital parts, and I'd like to keep the car running for as long as possible, even if the body work is all balled up on it's self....

 

I'm gonna laugh when this epic build up ends in 1 fail swoop on some damn magnet walls

not bad for $220 towed 30 miles to my house...

got a buddy who owns a machine/welding shop (Josh @ J&K Machine shop in gainesville), who's gonna come over one weekend, we're going to stick weld the entire chassis, weld in some bracing all over the car, tub the front, make a tubular front core support mad max style....

and I'm really considering turning it into a truck, with a wall and everything welded in to help with structural integrity when the car hits walls and K rails... he also sad if i aquire the tubing, we'll do a full car cage, not just the cabin, but rear reinforcements, cage brought through the firewall and throughout the engine bay, tied into the tubular front core support...
