the quest for 600 whp
alright i bought this car in april and on this setup it made 348 rwhp and 256 tq on 10 psi it was stock motor head studs gasket 550cc in. hks 264 cams and a garrett gt2871r
then after driving it for a little and having some fun with it, i decided to pay martin a visit for a retune to get more power out of it, i figured 18psi was a good number. it turned out good making 400rwhp and 346 tq. drove it home and within an hour i blew 2 cuplers, once i fixed them it felt even stronger then when i left.
about a week after that i was making some test polls with kenny (2mtx12) to see how it was holding up............i hit about 140mph in 4th gear and i felt the car lay over and the white smoke show began, shut the car down, let it cool and limped it home, let the tear down begin...........
on the way to the shop,
just about to poll motor out
the little kit
got it out time for clean up
on the stand,opening it up
opened it up to find this...........
from my findings and knoweldge i had cylinder 2s fuel inj. take a shit on me and caused it to melt that piston and lift the ring lands which equals no knock no compression and great smoke show.
lucky me there was no block damage and got it to the machine shop that day, opened it up a little for a bigger piston
i went with lower compression pistons and brian crowers new b-rod for a bullet proof bottem end set up to hold the power of this new setup........

Saw this car in person...sounds bad a$$. You can almost hear the choir sing when he opens the hood and you get to pear in..."AAAAAA" and a bright light shine out...lol. Good stuff!!
