JDM Status- Thanks for the kind words. As stated before, I'm not out for the aw factor, I'm just doing things the way I feel they should be done, regardless whether it's right or wrong in someone else's eyes.

Thanks Omar, hopefully I can get this done before you swap over to the built block. I'd like to see how this fairs against your 620whp...

Last night I partied slightly too hard and woke up hung over. It could've been worse, I just had that constant grogginess, luckily no headache. So feeling like poo, I decided to get some more work done on the car. I had dropped my steering rack off a the local garage I use to have new inner tie rods and boots installed. So, I thought how great it would be to get it installed. Not realizing when I put the motor in that the crossmember had to be dropped to put the rack in, I took to supporting the engine and getting it dropped. Luckily, I didn't have to pull the whole crossmember out, I just had to remove the engine mount nuts, the drivers side mounting nuts to the frame and loosened the passengers side so it could pivot down. Then I proceeded to sliding in the rack, hook the steering coupler up, and bolting everything back in the car.

I also finished installing my FAL fans. I still have to pull the radiator out one more time to get the oil cooler lines through the pass through I cut a few weeks back.

With the VE head, the ports are lower on the head flange, but use the same spacing, port dimensions, and bolt locations as the DE/DET. Being that my manifold was made for the DET, I had to oblong the holes inorder to raise the ports up level with the VE's. Otherwise the head flange hangs down into the exhaust port outlets, partially blocking the air flow into the manifold. So I borrowed my bosses borescope to ensure that this was not happening. Once that was completed, I finalized the exhaust manifold install and tightened all the nuts up. I'm waiting for some fittings for the turbo and then I'll be installing it permanently. Getting closer, but still have so much to do. As always thanks for viewing!

Thanks man, I used 3M professional grade rubberized undercoating, which you can find at your local discount auto parts. The stuff is amazing, it actually dries instead of staying tarry like some other products do. I used two cans to do the front of the car. A friendly suggestion, use a piece of cardboard to get an idea of it's spray pattern. It can come out pretty violent.

Well, that sucks 170... I really haven't gotten anything accomplished either as of late. I need some parts that are on order to move forward.
