The strut towers that I was talking about. I got a hold of some dry ice yesterday, (thanks again Kendall). It made life so much easier when I was doing the back half of the car. The only thing that was a slight pain was doing what was vertical/steep angled. Non the less, all of the sound deadening is out of the car except for what is on the wheel humps. All cleaned up. I'm still wanting to sand blast. Mainly just the old seem sealer shit. It looks like crap in the spots that I couldn't get the wire wheel into. Blast it all down, primer, paint and then throw down new sealer. If I paint over the current sealer, it'll look like shit. Granted very few people will ever see under the carpet, but I'll know what it looks like. I'm going to order a master bushing kit today, might order a new rack as well since I sold my perfectly good one to Kendall, (fuck you by the way). More tinkering tomorrow/today. As the british say....Cheerio.

I could be wrong, but from what I remember, according to the manual, that is the recommended jack location.

lots of fun stuff.
Every so often, I think to myself, Self, you should just buy one of those cheap, shitty, crappy s13's. Tear it all the way down and rebuilt it from scratch. You know you would enjoy it, and you know that if you were gonna build one, you'd basically be doing all of that work anyway.
But then I see the kind of crap other people have to deal with then they get cars like these and it reminds me how I just don't have the patience for that. I would have set the fucker on fire by now. Been too spoiled with decent condition cars.

For the stock jack, it recommends that you jack the car up from either corner of the rocker panels on the designated location. Not to use a semi flat surfaced floor jack on every inch of the pinch welds. Trust me, there hasn't been a day yet that I haven't thought about setting the damn thing on fire. As far as you or any one else being spoiled w/ decent cars...not all of us get lucky. Hopefully by the time that I'm done w/ this thing, hopefully others will appreciate it for what it is.

Before... After... Obviously I snatched out the engine bay chassis harness. Will be pulling the motor either today or Monday. Already bought cleaning/degreaser agent for the engine bay. Paint is the next thing on the list. Hip, hip, hooray!

For some reason, I thought all day yesterday was Friday. Engine got pulled today.

The crank wouldn't budge a hair so I got curious. I found this in the oil pick up.

Found some gold in here!

Delved a little further...

Girdle. Fairly good grooves in 2 different bearings.

3 rods spun bearings.

This one is pretty nifty.

The other halves

Looks to be that I'm going to need another crank. The bearings are now one w/ the crank.

I smell another ka-t.

Got this in the mail today. I wasn't expecting it until next week.

One step closer.

Two tone?

I'm going to hold off on getting bushings. I need to order some coilovers & rucas so I can get my height dialed in so I know how much to pull my quarters. Also need to order 1 Rota. Wish I was fuckin' a rich bitch. Engine bay should be getting painted this week. Waiting for parts to come in for the pressure washer to clean up the engine bay.
