You`re probably right about that. I saw BC and just assumed Brian Crower.

Yes, BC is different than Brian Crower. The S15 trans is weaker than a typical S13/14 KA/SR transmission because they kept the overall size of the transmission the same, and crammed an extra gear into it. Which obviously means smaller gears/synchros/moving parts.

I know about the S15 trans. That's why the car doesn't have another 6 speed in it. I wish the 6 speed wasn't weaker. I'm sure it's 6th gear cruises at a lower rpm than a 5th but not interested in trying to constantly find a S15 trans every time it breaks.
My cruise rpm with the 5th isn't to bad for a 4 cylinder. Much lower than my Evo 1 was.
Still haven't gauged highway mpg in it yet though. I'm sure it's better than the 22-23 mpg on the highway I got in the Evo. I cruise at 2800-2900 rpms at 70 mph vs 3400 at 70 in Evo.

Mobile: Advance Auto Parts: Search Results for fan control

The 3rd listing is what I'm using. I'm satisfied w/ it. Fans kick on between 200° & 210° every time. Never above 200°.

Thanks. I will be getting that this week some time. Drove the car to Kansas City this past Thursday and the fans definitely didn't need to be always running in 10 degree weather.

Car gets bad gas mileage on the highway. Never would have thought it would get less gas mileage than my Evo 1 with its short gears. The S14 is getting 21-22 mpg cruising 75ish on the highway.

Aside from gas mileage, car made it to Kansas City and back to Tallahassee so far with no issues.

That's interesting that you got the mileage. When I had my BPU S14 SR I saw 27-28 mpg at 80mph.

I was very surprised. It was gauged threw several tanks of gas and always ended up 21-22 mpg all on the highway.
I'm going to have to look some stuff over. Maybe the re wired walbro pump is over flowing the stock FPR.
Car runs great aside from the bad mileage.

I wouldn't necessarily call it bad mileage. My Protuned Sti gets 21-22 on the highway...

Don't boxer engines tend to not get as good of mileage as inline 4's though?
It seems to be bad mileage compared to what I hear others with sr20 swaps are getting.
This car is using a factory s15 ecu with no piggy backs or rom tune.
My dsm's would get over 30 mpg on the highway including my 650hp gvr4.

Yeah, they aren't known to get super good fuel mileage on the turbo models. I would expect you to be getting slightly better fuel mileage though. Perhaps mid twenties. Like you said, time to look over a few things. I do have a Nismo adjustable FPR laying around some where of that is the culprit.
