Default need clutch help ASAP!

Ok..so Sean and I were driving around yesterday and I was stopped...went into 2nd, then missed 3rd and accidently went into 5th (i happen to do that every now and then...did it often when i was learning to drive clutch too...haha)

anyway...after i had did that...i couldn't get into ANY other gear BUT 5th....it was like 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weren't there at all....so I had to ride the shit out of the clutch to be able to pull over somewhere...once we parked, it all of a sudden was fine...every gear I was able to get into.

When driving home...the clutch slipped out of 5th FOUR times.

Now...I JUST got a new clutch and master cylinder put in less than 2 months ago at Secret Services...Taylor actually did it...

What exactly is wrong or went wrong with my car? Sean was saying something along the lines of the whole clutch slipping but said it shouldn't be doing that since it's brand new...

anyway, thanks in advance for any advice

I'ts not the clutch. its the transmission. you bent something in there.

clutch does not cause the car to pop out of gear.

If you were able to "ride the shit out of the clutch" then that indicates to me the clutch is operating fine...although you probably took some life off it with this episode.

well I had to ride the clutch to the point where I could easily smell it from inside the car...

It didn't do it for that long..I would say less than 2 minutes and then it was fine....

It was about a 20-25 minutes drive home and popped out of 5th gear four times...otherwise everything was fine.

This morning everything has been riding fine..smooth as usual like nothing happened.

Now supposed this problem keeps happening...what am i looking at as far as fixing problems and cost?

if you end up messing up an internal thing, you get to buy a new tranny! $$$ however i know there is a big stash of them at secret services and you can probably get one for pretty cheap. and all those probably work great.

a tip for driving, when shifting into third you basically push up on the shifter lightly, the neutral point of the shifter resides between 3rd and 4th gear so when shifting from 2nd to 3rd, just push up lightly and it should just pop up and over as one push, the only time you would go 2nd to 5th is if you had to pull to the right on the shifter, as to get it to 5th or Reverse requires some force. the only time i shift from 2nd to 5th is if you are ragging the shit out of the car and do some hard 1 and 2 gear pulls and by the time 2nd gear tops out your at 55-60mph and you can just go to 5th instead of going through the rest, and yes it will grind sometimes, i find giving it a second or a rev helps it not grind. a b&m shifter/short shifter package will help that too i dont grind anymore. (2nd to 5th is not a recommended daily procedure)

John - I KNOW I need an SR swap..this car is giving me more trouble than I wanted it to!

Dan - This is the first time I've shifted 2nd to 5th since I've learned how to drive stick..when I first starting learning, I did less than 5 times...just this time I had happened to go into 5th..

Anywho...Don't think I can come up with 1500-2000 bucks in a quick amount of time so the swap can wait..

BTW...when the clutch slipped out of 5th, it grinded every time i put it back in (and yes the clutch pedal was down all the way)....but ever since this morning when I've been driving it...no grinding, no trouble at all
