Default Crank Position Sensor on S14

Hello,

I recently changed my clutch in my S14 and I ended up breaking 3 sensors on the tranny, one of them being the CPS, is it possible to change the sensor without having to remove the tranny? I could barely fit my hand to plug it back up, then i noticed that the plastic on the sensor was broken..........so now I have a CEL (Main O2 sensor, CPS, and some transmission OD????)

Thanks in advance

Also any tips on how you guys/gals change the clutch/tranny, I find its easier to changed the clutch on FWD, even though everyone tells me that RWD should take no more than 1 1/2-2 hours?

Crank Angle and Crank Position Sensors are totally different, edit your topic name.

Anyways, I find it easiest to take a small open wrench and go in from the top. Socket wrenches just didn't do it for me.

Took me about 3hrs my first time. Dowel pins on the Fidanza flywheel didn't match up perfectly so that took some time to work out.

I'll email you the FSM pages on the tranny removal if you want. PM me.

The one we are speaking of is the CPS. It has a heat shield to it, kept in place by the same 10mm bolt holding down the CPS.
Again, follow the instructions I gave before.
