Well after replacing:
(this is all in the past month :o)

Cat-back exhaust
MAF sensor
plugs (ngk vpower)
wires
cap
airfilter
oil flush and change
fuel filter
ps/fan belt
lucas fuel system cleaner
running 93 octane
removing air pump
removing vacuum canister
blocking EGR valve
fuel lines swaped for hoses (instead of hard lines above manifold)
brake booster hose
alternator
alternator belt
alternator/starter cable
p/s stop leak and hose repair
cleaned throttle body
PCV valve (what a pain)
blocked bypass hose on intake tube
blocked off all vacume lines on throttle body
degreased engine/bay/harness
cleaned plugs to sensors

And probably a shitload of other things Im to tired to remember right now....BUT....Now its finally driving great!! even when its cold. It feels like I just really got it since it has'nt been right since I bought it.

still to come this weekend:
coolant temp sensor (to ecu)
temp sensor (to gauge)

instead of gutting the cat, try to find a hollow secondary "cat" from an S14. also known as the "dummy" cat. it will save you time. or just buy a test pipe.

glad to see you got everything in order, thats about the best list i've seen as far as what should be checked/replaced when getting a 240.

dunno...I did the alternator, fuel hoses, brake booster hose, PCV valve, EGR block off and degreased engine plus carb cleanered the throttle body all yesterday and when I finally started it back up it was idleing at like 2k so I droped it down as low as it will go and it ran perfect after that!

02 sensors are weak. you dont need one.
exhaust gasket, go for the mr gasket exhaust manifold gasket for the KA. it's copper, re useable a million times, and 9.99
