Is the pump hardwired to a relay or factory wires?

It's an easy enough fix, could be way worse. Initally, I did mine in the parking lot of an Advance auto with some cheesy foglight wiring kit. Glad my battery was in the back.

what exactly does it make the car do cause i think that my car has the fuel pump bad or something but im not sure. It drives really slow and ill stomp it u can hear it loud as hell but its accelerating really slow. let me know if that what the pump does because i just dont want to replace the fuel pump if its not the problem.

everybody please rewire your s13 fuel pumps they just dont get enough power through the stock wiring especially on performance applications.

The usual high pitched whine of an upgraded pump will be replaced with an intermittant lower whine that sometimes breaks up.

Another good point that I should mention: don't run your tank dry before refueling with an upgraded fuel pump. The pumps make more heat due to their increased capacity and the gasoline is basically a heat exchanger. If the pump is un-immersed more than it is actually immersed, expect less pump life as well.
