I have $12000 dollars worth of receipts for why you do not want to go to ZFever. Yes, Martin and (if he's still there) the other Doug are excellent mechanics but the owner is a piece of work. I've had problems from Z Docs as well nut not at so much of a financial loss. My preference locally is D'Elegance off of Ulmerton just east of Starkey. (I think that is considered Largo. Jack and Ralph really know their way around a Z. I would also recommend Harry down in Sarasota if you're willing to make the drive. They are the only 2 in the area I would trust my car to at his point. I have learned the hard and costly way!!!

Agreed. Original Doug is different than the newer owner who is a fucking snake. There's a horror story right there!^

Throw a bearing? Hmm pretty sure I spun a bearing.

My thoughts on your oppions now

I think I have come to relize you want me to go to a not so good shop to be bent over, Yet again.

I saw Martin some of the things Martin said where is was truely confident in his work, and now-a-days you dont see that much.

LOL ok tool. It's REALIZE and OPINIONS *** FYI. I hope your shit blows, like I said, and you get raped in the ass by shitty work ethics and horrible customer service by yours truly at Z Fever. Get the owners name, and search him on the state penitentiary sites for his record.

If the starter of this thread thinks he can just "change the bearings out" and that will fix his knock then he really hasen't the faintest clue. He'd also need a crank, oil pump, possibly a rod or two, and maybe even a block(if he spun a main bearing badly) basically, there is much more involved in fixing a motor with a knock, than just putting new bearings in. If you just swap the bearings out, it'll run for 30sec before it starts knocking again....

Holy grave diggers.. I sold Sam another motor since it was just collecting dust at my house.. I refreshed the one I had.. new rings, new pump, bearings, etc etc... He basically got a new longblock.. but had bad luck because the guy that installed it had a problem timing it and somehow a dropped a nut down a runner when he was transfering things from the old motor. I think Sam has moved on to other projects though since.
