I dont believe it makes that big of a difference.
***Believe it or not intercooler piping size makes a HUGE difference in throttle repsonse and turbo lag.
I have the Blitz LM Intercooler kit for s13 and it works great!
***I am sure it does but it *is* laggier than a 2 and 2.5 combo. I am sure your car does not feel very laggy anyways as it has a very quick spooling T25. But if you were to do back to back dyno runs of your setup vs. a smaller diameter setup the smaller piping would yield more low end torque with the same high end horsepower. This means more area under the torque/hp curve and hence a car that accelerates faster.
The ideal setup with a stock T25 would be a 2 hotpipe from the turbo to the intercooler and 2.25 from the IC to the TB. This setup will support up to 300 wheel hp which is out of reach of the T25s reliable capabilities at 12 psi. Above 300 whp you will want a 2.5 IC to TB pipe. This will support upwards of 450-475 whp.
I think you guys are blowing this a little out of proportion.
***Maybe so but I am vry detail oriented
And the best part is when you compare a kit like the Blitz to buying a core and endtanks separately you are getting aluminum piping and most of the necessary silicone connectors for like $100.
***I completely agree. I do not like the piping with the GReddy kit at all. I am installing it on an S14 and the lower hot pipe does not fit very well at all. It rubs up against the rear fender liner and does not line up well with the hole under the airbox/fender. Furthermore on the passenger side you have to move the washer fluid tank to make the piping fit.
I hope the Blitz kit has better fitment than the GReddy. One other thing I have noticed is that the rubber hose connections with the GReddy kit are very thin. They are not as thick as other stuff I have used in the past.
Do you have any pics of your setup? Are the guy with the Fluidyne radiator and fans? If so it looks very nice.
Sincerely

358+ rear wheel hosrepower on 2 inch OUTSIDE diameter intercooler piping
oh did i mention i spool at 2300 =)
its al about the length of piping and diameter of piping as well as the size fo the intercooler
the larger the turbo you have you dont need as large an intercooler because the intake cahrge will be cooler anyways
walser all day
i really have no clue what im talkinga bout but i will race you enthalphy

The turbo to intercooler pipe is 2.25 and the intercooler to throttle body pipe is 2.75. This is too large unless you plan on upgrading to something larger than a T3/T4. I will be refabbing the intercooler piping using 2 from the turbo to the IC and 2.5 from the IC to the TB. This will help reduce lag and increase throttle response greatly.

Boosted Z31 is your IC to TB pipe 2 as well?..or is it just the turbo to IC pipe that is 2?
2 from the IC to the TB is too small. You could benefit greatly by increasing the size of your cold IC pipe to at least 2.5 especially with a V6 and large T61 turbo!
The 2.5 cold pipe acts as a plenum extension. You might want to try 2.5 piping on the cold side if you have not done so already.
Chismoe the car will be done in about a month. I am still prepping the car for the swap. I have already installed the turbo timer boost conroller gauges intercooler battery relocated etc...I am working on some of the intercooler piping and test pipe right now. As soon as that is done I will clean the engine replace the rod bearings gaskets and seals and drop that bad boy in.
Stay tuned....
Peace out

RB26DETT will not fit UNLESS its converted to a single turbo setup and you have to use a transmission from the RB25DET. I looked into seriously doing this swap but the thing that held me back was the problem with the front end. The weight distribution up front screws up the handling. There is a guy near Miami I believe that swapped in a RB25DET I got a couple pics of the engine if anyone wants to see them its pretty cool. Also if you were gonna do it spend the extra cash and get the all aluminum R34 engine cause the later models are aluminum head and iron block. Im into details like that but I probably told you way too much info than you wanted to know... v8killer knows his shit from what I can tell.
Oh one more thing... Shakira is a hott bitch.

and yes v8killer knows his shit. and also knows lots of usless shit that noone will ever need to know
and yes Shakira is a HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT bitch.
thanks you for your time
have a happy easter.
the longer my intake manifodl is the more low end power i get at the sacrifice of high end power and windabilitiy
thats not waht i want
2
maybe some day i will convert to 2.5 inch from intercooler to throttle body but it works great right now why bother i am still making more power and godloads more torque than your sr20
3
rb2x into any s13 is pointless its too expensive and too weak
the money you spend do a 2.2 jun stroker kit
or graet idea
sell the pos buy a z32 twinturbo and get a car that handles as well.
