Will save you money from having to fix things that will go wrong later on. As far as, color match and durability is concerned.
Actually not at all - its a 97 audi a4 quattro 1.8t, the only paint damage is the hood and quarter panel cause of the sun, i just got the car - the other stuff is due to negligence by the previous owner even the the rest of it is pretty nice

You can find someone to repaint that whole car for you for 800-1000 with base coat clearcoat. Sure the material will not be top notch but it will last you 4-5 years if not more.

Why not pay the extra 1000 and have the car fitted for life with top of the line stuff?

Because, right now im 17 - and my money goes to help my mom with rent and stuff and bills, my insurance and i've been saving up for rims and a paintjob and a couple things during christmas... another thousand dollars is alot to me, yeah it makes sense and if i had the money it would be a no brainer but right now, i just can't do it.

Its an audi with probably over 100k miles on it, they dont last very long. So why blow an extra $1,000.00 for something that may not last 5 years.

If it was a show car, yes an extra grand is justifiable. Just because you use medium quality base coat & clear coat paint doesnt mean the end result will look like crap. If prepped correctly and sprayed correctly, and detailed right you can have the lower quality paint look as good as the high dollar stuff. Sure it may not look as good 10-15years from now.

Now if you took it to maaco or econo where they shoot it with enamel/ single stage sure it will not last 2-3 years.

No. You cant. There is a reason why there is medium grade & high grade 'stuff' For someone who isnt involved in the business it might not 'look like crap' but quality is quality and its undeniable. Any experienced painter can tell you that. Now, for every budget there is shop. Stay away from Maaco for sure, but im sure there is someone that can accomodate you.

I own and operate a small body shop in seminole. I do good quality paintwork for cheap because im trying to build clients right now. Have been doing body and paintwork before i could drive a car! have plenty of experience, I think we can work with your budget on the audi and put a nice bc/cc that will last 5-10 years. PM me if your interested and ill give you my number Thanks- Cory
