If you have any questions on it, PM me. Read the manual though, I can't stress that enough to people. I read my manual and a whole new world of features and understanding came about.
I have an S5 and I think it's really nice. Before I had it I used my mom's T70 and we had a little Kodak Easyshare that I messed around with... I would defiantly suggest reading the manuals (the basic first and then the advanced because they reference each other). That should help you better understand the features of the camera. I also recently got this <LINK> off Amazon. It's a guide to the S5, but not just a manual of how it works, but more about how to use the functions described in the manual.
Anyways, with a digital the best way to learn always seems to be to "just take a bunch of pictures and see what looks best," but that can be time consuming and you may not remember what you did.
I think It's better to have a pretty good idea of what you're doing and then make adjustments based on the results, instead of just 'shooting blind.'
Seriously, let me know if you have any questions, post them here, or PM me. I'll be glad to answer or send you a reference of what I can't explain..... Hope this helps, didn't mean to write an essay...
