I use the pen tool. There are several ways to do it, but by far the fastest is to use the pen tool and "trace", then choose "stroke path" choose the brush option, with applied pressure. Then just make sure your brush is set for black, and set for like 3 pixels depending on the size of the image for the outline.

For the smaller lines, set your brush pixels to 2 (door lines, window lines).

I'm not sure this helps you if you don't know how to use the pen tool yet.

There are a couple really good tuts for the pen tool on Digi-mods. I never understood the pen tool before reading and practicing it. Now, I always use it. It's one of the most powerful tools in Photoshop.

Also, along with pixel size, make sure the brush is set to the hardest (crisp) option.

The cool thing about doing a line art project is that the original pic quality can be horrible... You can blow it up to any resolution you want, your pen lines will stay clean.
