Sorry, for these pics Its a Nikon D200 with a Nikon 10.5mm fisheye lens. and you should be able to get good handheld low light pictures out of your point and shoot camera, just put it in P and make sure the flash is turned off and the iso is on its lowest setting, and make sure you have a steady hand! your canon power shot is pretty capable.

I'm going to try the settings like you said though... maybe tonight after I get home. Thanks!!!

Most of my daytime pictures turn out pretty nice. Once I get home, I have a few photo editing programs that I use to throw some different effects on the pictures... sometimes I darken them, sometimes I layer them with a few different things to make them look nicer.
Funny thing is... I have a 3.2 mgpxl Fuji that takes AMAZING night shots. This one of the Pier in St Pete hasn't been edited other than the size:
I meant to bring this camera to the show the other night, because I wanted to see how it would work in the parking lot.

LOL, if I had known my car was going to be shot I probably would have at least wiped off the wheels or maybe even washed it! It's pretty haggard, all footwork and driveline and no pretty, but I'm glad it could make everyone else's cars look better by comparison.
Thanks photog's and organizers for everything!
