Just a friend who got me my job, i owed him, and got the chance to try out some new shots.... Photobucket FTL

Just mounted the rims today and FMIC 2 days ago..

First attempts...

Whats the easiest way to do this i sat in the back seat and set up my tripod and tried to hold it as steady as possible, i love the shot but wanted the blurred affect more i tried about 30 of these and this is bye far the bestt..

#1 and #2 FTW.

The backseat shot should'nt have been that much of a problem to get as long as he went slow + using manual focus?

For the backseat shot you need a longer exposure to get more blur. I haven't done one before but if I were trying to do it I'd probably start using shutter priority and shooting around 5-10 seconds. Use AF to focus on the dash (or wherever) before the car starts moving. Once you've got your focus, flip the camera into manual focus and it will stay focused until you move the camera or adjust the focus yourself.

Thanks DD ad Hoosier... =)

Chris, the only thing i saw as a problem is any bumps throw it off and we where doing about 20-30mph around. if you had a rig(like the ones to mount outside moving cars) maybe you could set it up the same way?

For bumps all you really have to do is push down on the legs of the tripods. If you hit a bump the camera moves with the car.

Try what HD said along with slowing the car down. Doesn't need to be moving fast to give the illusion of speed.
