I'm digging the idea. There are a few things that make me wonder what's going on (ie. why is there stuff on the stairs? Why is the chair blocking the stairs?) but I imagine that's what you were going for.
I like the lighting. Until you try to do something like this it's hard to understand how much work goes into the light. Did you try using any other color gels? Seems like yellow or orange might have been a better fit.
I really dig the concept. Are you going to be able to post some from the actual shoot at some point?

Maybe so, I'd have to see it. I just don't think the blue flows as well. I'm never happy with colored gels though. I typically just use color correction gels.
