I like how you used the blue gel, it gave it a really good effect. I would have tried to use a white card or a flag to push the blue glare off the pillar next to the painting, do you know what I mean?

I'm digging the idea. There are a few things that make me wonder what's going on (ie. why is there stuff on the stairs? Why is the chair blocking the stairs?) but I imagine that's what you were going for.
I like the lighting. Until you try to do something like this it's hard to understand how much work goes into the light. Did you try using any other color gels? Seems like yellow or orange might have been a better fit.
I really dig the concept. Are you going to be able to post some from the actual shoot at some point?

Ive definitely been trying to push my lighting to the next level, every shoot ive been trying to get progressively edgier to break into a different mindset. Its a slow process but im determined to keep plugging away. Ill be posting some of teh actual shoot soon, just have to edit them, this was just a test for one of our asst/grips, i told him i would hook him up with a new profile pic
thanks for all the comments guys. for me though if there is anything you dont like, def say something, i only get better when i broaden the range for everyone not just some.
