Default Would you say this is a decent tripod?

Just bought my first D-SLR and have A LOT to learn . I'm looking around for a tripod, and don't want to get a cheap $20 one, but not quite ready to drop $100+ on one yet either. I was just doing some searching and found this: Amazon.com: Velbon DF-60 Dual Function Light Weight Tripod: Electronics and a lot of reviews seem to have no problem with it and $50 didn't seem to be that bad of a price. Any other suggestions?

I would hold off for awhile until you can put a little more money towards it because usually with tripods you get what you pay for, and for $50 your not gonna get much. If you look further down on that Amazon page you can see the "What Do Customers Ultimately Buy After Viewing This Item?" section and there is a tripod made by Dolica that has 4.5 stars out of 135 reviewers so that might be a slightly better option.

Have a look at getting a 2nd hand Benbo off Ebay, great for small DSLR use when shooting cars...
