Default Help with shooting white during the day...(Pics inside!)

My first attempted photoshoot. Nikon D3000 55-200mm Lens
I used the White Balance and preset it before I started to shoot. The ISO was at 400 for these shots...What should I be doing different? Or is it just really freaking hard to shoot white during the day like this?

Constructive Criticism is welcome...If you can't be nice about it, I don't want to hear it. Also, these are untouched as far as editing. I don't have photoshop till at least Weds..

color wise it's not that bad. setting it to the sun w/b for that would have been fine, if thats what you did/didn't set it at.

White & black cars are the hardest to shoot, especially in full sun. The pics don't look bad as far as the wb goes, just need a different location preferably a darker background with the white car

as stated white cars are easier on darker back grounds

try shooting late in the day when the sun is softer

in bright light i usually set the iso pretty low

that camera should do bracketing, try messing with that then merging the photos to get even exposure if your worried about hot spots

get photoshop/lightroom for post processing, why wait till wednesday?

White balance wise these shots are ok.

Mid-day doesnt work for white, or any color for that matter. White looks best at night, which is going to involve lighting, and an editing software of some sort to adjust white balance and desat your white to give a pure white if thats what you're after.

I personally like the 2nd to last the best. Just a little tip with white, especially since this car is nothing but Black and white, try desaturating it to take some of the bluish tint out. Just as an example here's the car desaturated slightly along with the dirt/rubber in the well removed along with the side defects. That simple thing can go a long way.
