I've got like 700 shots from the two days and have just started culling them. I only processed one shot from qualifying (one of the first shots I took), and then my prize for the weekend that Danica's manager took for me

I think I talked to you Sunday am.

But then again talked with a good bunch of media guys this past weekend. Did not go back on monday.

Jake, how'd you get creds? Is this like Sebring where they check you and see if you're actually covering it for a legit publication? Sebring will not let freelancers, or anyone/any publication shoot, that has not shot or covered the race before...

I couldn't really get a good spot on Saturday when I went with JonLGT, but here are some of my shots. I had grandstand seating in turn 10 on Sunday and it was pretty much empty. On the top of the grandstand I could have gotten a clear shot for turn 10, but I had a feeling it was going to rain so I didnt bring my camera. I got soaked Sunday.

This is the best I could do

I wish I hung out in this spot a little longer:

The driver of the RX-8 is an awesome guy! I hung out with him pretty much all day Fri and Sat.

Some nice work, people. I usually go to the SPGP, but freelance work kept me in front of the computer this time.

I'm hoping some of you will eventually post links ^_^

The whole crew was cool. I sat in the RX-8 for a good 20-30 minutes on Sunday just talking to the crew guy, he turned the battery and ignition on and let me play around with the MoTec and let me get settled into the seat, put the wheel on, test out the clutch and some stationary heel and toe. Only thing he didn't let me do is fire up the car.
