From what Ive heard alot of poorly setup ones have BAD boost creep. Sure they have an 8# spring in the wastegate but it creeps up to about 10-12 at times. I think that may be a cause for alot of failures. Man that would scare me too much. I would build the motor for boost. No rooom for error and resisting temptaion for more boost would be too scary for me.

Thanks I am not doing any setup of this sort I was just wondering. So a B16a can do around 8psi that must be a pretty strong motor.

Im lost why does a boost controller blow a motor? I figured that would let you turn it down during street stuff and then back to 8 for track but hey.

It seems to me that the base psi setting for the wastegate on most hondas is right around 8psi a boost controler will only let you go up in psi never down.

Probably referring to resisting the temptation to turn the shiny boost knob. Once you feel an extra couple punds of boost you want it all the time.
