Exclamation Alil turbo info needed please!

I have a 1997 Eclipse Rs.Im looking to turbo it.What exactly do I need before I can buy my turbo kit.Ive found this turbo kit that seems like it would be a good deal.

Turbo - AdvancedJDMParts.com - Performance Parts and Accessories - 95 96 97 98 99 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE JDM SPORTS 420A TURBO KIT

I just would like what parts i would need to buy before I buy the kit.I had everything tuned up and ready for the turbo. The 2gnt.com website is telling me that i should do my header and then get a cold air intake.I doubt its just that easy to turbo a non-turbo car.Any information would be wonderful.

Honestly save yourself the headache.

That 'turbo kit' might cost $1k, but add another $2k to get it close to running right. So....save that 3 grand, sell your car and buy a GS-T if you're stuck on having a turbo Eclipse.

That is the best advise you are going to get. Do not waste your time and money on turboing an n/a eclipse when you can buy factory boosted ones all day long that will take the abuse as that is what they were built to do. Although they are still mitsubishis so plan on being broke down all the time regardless on which model you choose to have.

I would beg to differ, I own a 98 RS, and have a Hahn stage II. While agree it might be easier to sell your NT and buy a GST or GSX, The 420a is a well designed platform; more than a decade newer than the 4g63. Don't get me wrong, the 4g platform is a great one, capable of producing 400+ hp on stock internals; sometimes you must work with what you have. (Hence why I own a converted NT) If you are looking for some more info I would be happy to share what I had to do to mine. In the meantime might I suggest:
