OK so i read the sticky and got a very good understanding of how to apply nitrous to my situation but my question is what would be a good nitrous setup if i only want to run a 5 lbs (if possible) if not then a 10 lbs bottle and a compression ratio of 11.1:1. i just don't kno if i wanna go dry or wet, i don't kno what size jet to use. i want to use a 50 jet but not too sure. and finally what is the difference of a normal NOS kit and the sniper kit they have? any help would be appreciated and i kno this forum doesn't move quick so i'll make sure to bump it up so u guys can see it.

what motor are you running it on?

whether you want to run a 5lb bottle or a 10lb bottle is up to you. How long do you want it to last? how many passes do you intend to make before your next nitrous fill up. You might aswell go with a 10lb bottle.

 

well my GOAL (notice my emphisis on goal) is to use it in desperate situations not like racing or anything like that i mean desperate like bored and jus want that extra bump. it'll be on a stroked b16 so any info would help

 

Hmm I would get a 10lb bottle.. that way you dont have to worry about getting a fill up after only a few passes. Unfortunetly I cant remember what comp ratio I was running on my civic, but I ran a 50 shot (dry) with no problems what so ever. Do you have any head work done?

but this is the plan its a b16 head with type r internals and skunk 2 cams or b16b cams which ever i come across first with the money.

 

ok heres the break down , direct port is always safer than a single nozzle, but the lowest shot u can run on a direct port is a 110 shot on a fuel injected car because of fuel pressure and the fact u don't ever want to run a fuel jet smaller than 0.016 because anything smaller clogs up way to easy and if a fuel jet clogs up u can kiss that cylinder good bye, a website called robbie the robot has a good nitrous jet calculator also if u are 11 to 1 comp. run a big cam nitrous loves them , i recamend skunk 2 stage 2
pro's and lay your cam gears out 2 and 2 and u will lose a little low end but have a major gain after 4 grand. If u run a single nozzle 75 is high as i would go anything over that and u risk a single cylinder loading up and once again boom ive seen a 125 single nozzle but it made me cringe , but i would be dissapointed with a 50 shot though , and never just throw in the jets your kit says will put out ?? horsepower alway calculate it and remember only spray your nitrous when bottle pressure is between 900 and 950 cause that is where a a nitrous tune up based around that and your fuel pressure at wide open throttle anymore question just post i will check this thread again , i would go either with a 74 shot single or personally lean toward direct port its safer and way more of a rush when you come on a direct port kit its like flying out the barrel of a gun if u can hook the tires up

 

well this is the thing i would like to throw some spray in the mix but i don't want my motor to be bottle fed so to speak. i mean i don't wanna depend on the spray all the time to get my car to get up and go. i would also like to keep all the low end power i can get out of this build jus for the simple fact that b16's don't really have any low end to begin with. i would just like to spray for shits and giggles. if it can't be done than i'll have to look for an alternative but i'ma keep on tryin to work this out because i never been in a car that had nitrous

As far as the NOS sniper brand i dont see much of a diffrence besides maybe a smaller bottle valve honestly.and 5 or 10 pound bottle if you have the room i'd go 10,less fill up's and its there when you need it.your car dont have to be concidered "bottle fed" my cars quick all motor but we still spray it at the track and sometime on the street, that's just another saying for running nitrous so if your cars quick now then the bottle will be fine for getting on it every now and then but once you spray the car a few times you wont ever want to race anyone without it lol Do it

 

i kno what bottle fed ment i just had a different meaning for it in my situation but i'm still gonna go for it i'm jus gonna have to plan it out a lil bit more careful thats all.
