Well B15spec the reason the hole was blown in the block is more than likely that the ls motor is known for weak rods and the motor has a long stroke and probably had a chip to raise the redline, itwas probably run to redline everyday! this would have happend without the spray im sure, might have taken a few more days to happen!

Nitrous is great. it's just the idiots that don't know how to setup their cars to run it that give it a bad name.

thats what i always thought, i was always scared of it, till i actually sat down and researched more, and i found lots things about it, like its not flamable and after f&f everybody thought it was lmao, if you build ur car right then u wont have problem, im rebuilding my motor and then puttin 50 to 75 shot on it and im pretty sure it will hold up just fine. Like somebody said b4 its the idiots that dont know anything that give it a bad name.

Wow! Soo much lack of knowledge in this thread!

Any Honda engine can hold a nitrous shot reliably. You are all forgetting the most important part of putting any forced induction on your car. TUNING!!!!!!!! Why are you so surprised it blew up. Adding nitrous throws the air/fuel curve off, among other things just like any other forced induction. You wouldn't go out and put on a turbo kit and run 10psi and not tune it would you? The concept is the same. I know someone who has run a 150-200 shot of nitrous on an RSX-S for years. The car is well tuned and it was never had a problem.

Almost any car will respond to nitrous well, but like anything else you need to tune it. The reason people are afraid of nitrous is there hear of idiots that go and throw on an untuned shot on there car and it blows up in no time. Well duh! Nitrous is an awesome forced induction if used properly. The only downside is you have to refill that bottle ever now and then.

Very well said Super! Except it is not forced induction! The key to running nitrous is the tune! Not only air/fuel reading but also if you are running a good size shot you will also have to retard your timing and run a few steps colder on your plugs! Also with large amounts of nitrous you really need to upgrade your ignition system to get the best results! Anyone putting on a nitrous system should either have a wideband installed on there car or put it on a dyno to get the best safest results! Also if you are running a small shot 35-125 hp it really is safer than running a turbo or supercharger setup! No really it is! When you run forced induction it is allways there, that means anytime you drive your car hard you will see some kind of extra pressure on the engine, with nitrous you only use it when you want. So less stress and heat buildup during everyday driving! Dont get me wrong I love to see 30psi+ and its alot of fun but just trying to keep people from being scared about nitrous!

nitrous isn't forced induction, i guess you would just call it a power adder

that makes more sense, but i guess it works "like" forced induction" in the manner that you have to tune it, but like all add on parts, they dont realy work to the fullest unless its tuned.
