Nitrous is good!
You are 100% correct! It is not forced induction! Forced induction is when your intake manifold pressure is above atmospheric pressure level, Nitrous is a power add that lets you burn more of the fuel that enters the combustion chamber that in turn increases combustion and = more power! There should be more horror stories about turbo and supercharger kits because they really require more tuning than nitrous does!

good thread.
my friend put a 75 dry shot in his integra and left the timing advanced and his valves got fuckddd. car still wont turn on with the new head put it.

Well if he burnt some valves more than likley he broke a piston ringland or 2 or hell all 4! It happens all the time! And with a broken ringland you cant see the damage till you take the piston out and the lands fall out into your hand! this is the thing that gives nitrous a bad name! First of all stay away from dry kits! Problem waiting to happen, And like i said timing and air fuel readings need to be done to prevent these things from happining!
thanks,
Carter

i don't think that is the problem.
his car does not have spark..
he put a new dizzy and spark plug wires and still it has no spark.
what could be the problem??

Well if you pulled the head you disconnected the ground wire that bolts to the thermostat housing! Or around that area! Check all your grounds on the harness leading to to the head! Bet that is your problem! if you cant figure it out by monday bring it to the shop! Ill fix it for less then $150 for sure but check those grounds!
thanks,
Carter
And before you spray on it again bring it to us to get some quick a/f and timing readings!

Edmel89! I am glad you are interested in nitrous! Its a very safe and reliable way to make power! The first engine i ever used nitrous on was a d16y8 sohc 96 civic ex! I was running a 125 wet shot on this engine for 9 months before i swaped in my b20vtec! i would not spray that on your engine but i didnt care about mine since my swap was sitting there! But a 50-70 shot on yours will last a long time just have to make sure a/f is right and timing!
Another factor in nitrous reliablity is the introduction curve.
Most engines can take a 150-200 shot very easily, but on a small older four cylinder, you would benefit from a 2-stage.
