Default Best turbo for DD/Street.

Had a greddy turbo kit on my EM1, it was alright but didnt like the spool up time (4800 rpm) so i was thinkng of doing my all motor B20vtec into posible a turbo set-up instead since i have commited to my pistons yet. (although i already have S2 Stg.2 cams).

If i do decide to go turbo again which would you guys think would be an all around Good turbo with a quicker spool time other than the greddy 18g on my B20/vtec. Id like a smoother powerband ,mine spiked up after 5000 rpm's and died off at 7200 rpms, and on a b16 tranny with turbo it flew thru those RPM's with little traction.

My old set-up:
Stock head/Block B16
Full gredy kit (stock 7.8 Psi)
Big greddy Intercooler
Greddy type-S Bov
310CC injectors
Full MSD Igniion with 6AL
Jun flywheel
ACT 2600 Clutch with unsprung clutch
Walbro 255 LPH FP
Aem FPR
Aem Fuel Rail
2.5 Inch Apexi dunk Exhaust (no Cat)

Made 181 TQ and 221 HP

Car made no power before 4800...spiked from 4800-7200rpm and fell on its face afterwards. So i MIGHT go turbo again if i can match up a faster, smooter powerband turbo trying to reach a conservative 300 Useful HP on my b20/vtec. It has more displacement so should spool up a turbo quicker, and i no longer have the greddy kit so i would start from scratch...or sould i just go for the all motor route and go for 300 HP with Spray???

Current set-up:

Block:

JDM B20
Stock sleeves (Really dont have the extra cash to sleeve Block)
Stock crank
Eagle Rods
All ARP Studs Mains, Rod bolts, etc.. (no girdle tho)
ACL Race bearings
GSR oil/Water pump
Greddy timing belt
Cometic Head gasket (stock thickness)
Golden eagle Head studs
Golden Eagle Ls/Vtec Kit
Block still hasnt been assembled yet since i havent commited to pistons yet.

Head:

B16 Head
Port and polish
3 angle Valve job
S2 Valves
S2 Dual Valve springs
S2 Titanium Retainers
S2 Stg 2 tuner cams
S2 Pro Intake manifold
S2 68mm TB
S2 Adjustable Cam gears
AEM FRP
AEM Fuel Rail
Walbro 255 LPH FP
Top end already assembled and ready to go.

Tranny:
Sc1
ACT 2600
Jun flywheel

This is a Project & Build Area, so add some pics or your car & make this more like a project thread.

Thanks,

my lag is your courtesy head start

ATTENTION.... installing a head gasket, head studs or pistons and rods in your otherwise STOCK engine dose not make it a "built" engine! stop listing you cars for sale saying they are built when its not!!
