N/A Build B-seres pump gas
My friend's and I goal is to make one of the fastest 93 OCTANE B-series, not a fast pump gas because e85 comes from the pump. As time goes on I will update this thread with the build.
The head is finished. Its polished and has Supertech valves, springs, retainers and bronze valve guides.
The reason one of the valves are not in is because the machinist messed it up so I have to order a new one.
We just ordered Skunk2 Pro3s
We have the Edelbrock intake manifold thats getting the runners polished, And we have a gsr block thats going to get sleeved. We are going to order CP pistons 12.5:1 C/R 85mm and eagle rods.
UPDATE (10/14/09):
I just ordered the one valve from Erynn at Midnight Auto.
Just ordered pistons and rods from race axis. They had a deal going on. $750 shipped for CP Pistons and Eagle rods!

I got the valve from Erynn and installed it already so the head is good to go now.
The pistons just came in.
Still waiting for the rods to come in but anyways the next step is off to sleeve the block.

Be careful with the pro3 cams.
Make sure you check & triple check your clearances p2v and v2v....
You will need to degree them in using a degree wheel fixture.
Personally I feel the pro3 cam maybe too large for your application.

What size bore and what compression for the block?

wow pro 3's.i just did a full blown N20 motor for osme with the pro2's and12:5ish i would not have went with the supertech springs i dont think they will take they lift from pro3s. but im with them make sure you clay that motor acouple times.. this is only going to be a track car im guessing right?

If u want a great mid and top end power cam the buddyclub4 is best I will be useing that in my build and good for pump gas...and if I was u I would try and go with a b16 head for safty and less chance of interference

Aka a PR3 stamped head. But yeah, those cams may be way too large. If they work, that car will idle like a Harley.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period.
