Default cobra clone

Long story short I lost the tread off of my front wheel (3.5 weld draglite) and it took out the front bumper, driver-side fender, and rocker panel. I traded the welds for cobra wheels and brakes. I have since installed the brakes and oem cobra wheels. I have the new cobra bumpers and fenders but am still gathering funds for paint. Today was the first day I got to drive her in a couple months so here is the latest. I will post pics after paint as well. My buddy David is helping me. He is a 4x4 guru and can find any and all off road parts new and used.

notice the bigfoot walk ^

I still need to put my lower spring back in the back but that can wait

Almost done. Just have to put the lower rear springs in and finish the rocker panel. There are a lot of pics of the window louvers for a guy on here that made them. If you like them I can point you in the right direction.

I really like your color,.. the hood looks good. The Cobra front bumper cover looks good too. The blacked out wheels not so much,.. but not really hating on them. I just think they've been played out over the years.

But I rank the side scoops right there with the Cobra-R rear wing you had on there. Doesnt work for me at all. Its your car and obviously you dig em so you know me,.. I mean no offense. But expect a bit of teasing. You should be used to it by now.

Your car with your color, set up like this one would look absolutely killer.
The wheels wouldnt work with your color choice,.. they do make them with powder coated black centers. We paid $450 for them brand new. There is a dealer in Sarasota that sells them on Ebay. Tons and tons of wheels choices out there. The hood is a Keanan carbon fiber hood. We werent into the carbon fiber look so it was painted. The rear wing is a Saleen S351 wing. The springs were H&R Sport line springs with 2" drop front and rear. Not sure if you'd want to go that low. Doesnt work well at the drag strip.

I have the stock springs in the rear right now but my lower ones will be back in and its a pretty aggressive drop. My next step is gonna be to pick up some drag radials. My et street slicks driving days are over. I have a good paint hookup now so I am planning some fun stuff. I have think skin and like the feedback good or bad. I am getting lit up for getting rid of the welds but I dont feel comfortable on em anymore after the blowout. 1/10 of a second is not worth the risk. It is hard to believe im the only one who digs the side scoops. My dream machine is a 1969 mach one so maybe it is a little of that poking through, who knows.

The Shelby's had the side scoops and besides,.. it works on those cars. Looks good on them. But the SN95 body style,.. meh. To me its like trying to mix the old with the new. Now if you had a S197 (05 - 10) I might feel differently about side scoops. Depending on the style,. it kinda works on them. But not on these cars. I mean come on,.. could you imagine me putting side scoops on my 93 Fox hatch? I'd rather eat paint chips first.

At least your working on it and changing things around. I dont think we are ever completely satisfied with our cars.
