Default MMR Prepped TKO Transmission

I really do not want to sell this. But with Christmas coming up and no job my kids deserve better.

I have an MMR 900 TKO here thats going to sit for the next 2 - 3 years unused because I dont have the funds to complete my car right now.
See link below and look at part# 300900. Thats what this is plus it has gone back for the counter weight kit. Would cost you $3300 to buy new.
Transmission and Drivetrain

Has had the slugs/counter weigh kit done to improve high RPM shifting. No binding or hard shifting into 3rd at 6000+ RPM like other typical TKO's.
Hardened 26 spline input shaft. 31 spline output shaft. .64 OD ratio.
Pro 5.0 shifter with Steeda Triax handle comes with it.
I have no SFI/Bellhousing for it.

I bought this from Kelly (Modular_Speed).
He can verify what it is and whats in it and has been done to it.
Matter of fact Ruler was there when I bought it.

If your looking for a bullet proof 5 speed for your 4.6/5.0/5.8/Stroker/Big Block or what ever,.. here it is. This is arguably the strongest Ford 5 speed on the market today.

$2000.00 or best serious offer.

Thanks,

Hurst

You can get a paint job any time... You won't find this trany, at this price very often...

I would hate to take advantage of Jim... but I would!!!

With a nice stall you'll go faster with the C4. Not as much fun on the street,.. but you cant out shift an automatic.

This transmission would be over kill in that car. But on a side note,.. if you ever build a monster HP motor this tranny would take what ever you throw at it. I was planning to throw 900 - 1000hp at it.

Default Now Jimbo

Back in the day I had a 67 camaro when I bought it had a small block out of a 70 corvette. The car had a turbo 400. I took it to the track and it ran 12:20s. I pulled the auto and put in a doug nash five speed and they car then ran 12 flat. Pulled the small block and put in a 454 with aluminum heads tunnel ram with dual 800 holley double pumpers and droped down to 10:50's. If you are a good shifter you can equal shift an automatic and have a lot more fun. Nothing like droping the clutch at 7000 rshared_pm with that big block. I remember the first time I did that on slicks on concrete. Bought broke my neck.

Turbo 400 1st gear ratio is not small block friendly. That was your first disadvantage. Doug Nash you can get with any set of gears you want. Just like a Lenco or even the TKO's to a degree.

I slam shift my transmissions. If I miss the clutch to hand shift point,.. oh well,.. the gear is moving and it better like it. No lift,.. bang,.. next gear,.. no lift bang and so on till 4th. So I understand what you mean Ray Ray. Not everyone is as subtle as we are when it comes to shifting their tranny.
Its part of why I like T45's so much. No matter what RPM,.. it will go in gear.

I have never had this tranny mounted or ran it. So it has not seen any abuse from me. Sucks too,.. because I really needed a tranny that would hold up to my abuse. Thats why I really dont want to sell it.

Bump for a Great Tranny, what's the 1st gear ratio in that particular one?
