Pretty sure you would need an adapter plate of some sort to run the tremec on the 2.3. Much like you need a 2.3 T-5 bell, not a 5.0 T-5 bell.

how right u are old buddy! lol yeah im getting the adaptor plate and 2.3 patterned 5.0 flywheel. the plate offsets the longer input shaft length that the 5.0's have. i got this under control. im not looking to keep the stock t-5 5.0 for ever i just need to get it running at 450 and on the t-5 and then ill have trans-r-us build me a tranny for it.

but right now i just need a tranny to go easy on. and i dont want to spend 1100 on a 3550 right now. still needs tooooo much money in engine and head and paint and interior and fuel system ect.

Understand. I'm backing down on the original "bad ass factor" that was planned for my little 4 popper. I've got a pending sale on the built c4 that was originally gonna go in it when it was gonna see just light street duty. But I've decided to make it a DD instead so a T-5 out of a Turbo Coupe is going in. I suppose I can always change it down the road if I get an itch.

you will be good with a t-5 making 450 to 500 just as long as you dont run slicks.i ran my 95 with a 347 and spray on a stock t-5 worked good untill i went to the track with slicks.broke 3rd gear every time...good luck with the build

i got 315's on the back but like i said my torque numbers in 3rd on a 4 popper are nothing compared to a sprayed 347 lmao. ill be ok. thanks for understanding man.
