Radar detector F/S ....need to pay ticket..

Radar detector F/S ....need to pay ticket..
Ok so after getting another speeding ticket a few days ago it is time to get rid of my radar detector....to pay for the ticket.
Escort Passport 8500 X50 Red w/leather case - $350 brand new about 2 years ago.
-$130 obo - but needs to be serviced.
The radar as it is has the laser function turned off. This is because the laser detection would just start going off at random moments due to the shield degrading. This is normal for these detectors as you can find out by doing a quick google search. The KA/K/X bands all work fine. I called Escort and found out that if you wish you can send in the unit and pay a flat fee of $69 which would update all the software, fix any laser problems, and essentially make the unit like new. I have just been using it without the laser function as usually it doesn't matter if you detect a laser because it is probably too late.
So someone help me out as this is a great radar detector all around.

actually it was entirely my fault why I got the ticket....but radar detectors don't save you from ignorance...anyone who has this radar can tell you how good it works. It has saved me plenty of times believe me.
