Sorry to threadjack Joe:

Is there anyway around this while still using the stock ecu? Can you disable the knock sensor without fucking shit up?

why would you want to disable the knock sensor?

CP/Forged pistons cause false knock readings due to piston slap.

Well, that's my question too? How does the AEM compensate for false knock from piston slap while still being able to detect preignition knock?

You can use a resistor to fool the ECU to not throw a code. I think it was a 1M resistor, I forget. But when you actually have knock, you will have to way of knowing so its really up to you.

The real solution is to buy the AEM from the OP.

Its called CALIBRATING the knock sensor its very simple actually, you make a couple pulls to red line with out getting into boost record the pulls and what ever knock its sees you set it to normal and anything above what it seen while you tuning would be knock. If that makes any sense

AND DONT EVER TRY TO FOOL YOUR KNOCK SENSOR THATS SO BAD WHAT YOU THINK SAVES YOUR MOTORS LIFE WHEN YOU METH KIT FAILS AT 30 PSI YA YOUR KNOCK SENSOR
