Car is a 1992 VW Gti 8 valve with at least 109k on it (odometer stopped working, very common). Car is pretty solid, minimal surface rust, no through rust, will need paint and some body work to get it perfect, but it didn’t bother me. Engine will need some work, my plans were to just swap an ABA engine into it, easy to do, and very cheap, but some other things in my life are dictating what I do with the car. However, I need to note that the engine runs fine, starts fine, drives fine, it’s been my daily for a few weeks, I just don’t go dogging the heck out of up to redline, you look after it, and it might last a year, who knows, it shows no sign of being down on power, just a little noisy, and a little smokyJ.
It has 17” wheels with very new tires on them, not particularly my style, but they came on the car when I bought it. I have the front flares, but they are not in the best of shape, but usable if you want to put them back on. Missing the passenger side skirt, I was going to go with no flares/small bumpers, so it didn’t bother me, as they were coming off anyways. Interior is clean, cracks in the dash, but the rest is nice, I have the rear seats and the parcel shelf, but they are not in for the pictures. I never used the rear seat, so why have it.
More on the engine, it smokes on start up after its been sitting for a while, valve seals most likely, and has a bit of a knock when cold, in my opinion, not worth it to fix the current engine, but just to swap in a cross flow 8v, easier than rebuilding what’s in there. The car drives solid, and it’s most definitely a good start for a project, just right now I need to make sure I have money to cover my other finances and having a car I’m so tempted to put money into might not be a good thing to have currently. Oh, car also has passat rear brakes (di as apposed to drum. Car has a rebuilt status title, made me leery at first, but upon looking underneath of it and driving it for a while, I can’t find anything that would concern me on a build up. Underneath of the car, doing the shift lever, it still has the original heat shield and all the undercoating is original, so I wasn’t concerned with its solidity.
All the a/c parts are there, and it worked when I bought it, I am almost 100% sure there is a leak somewhere, as it worked for a few days after I charged it with Freon, but all the mechanical parts of the system work, find the leak, evac the system, fill it up, bam, a/c. I’ve only owned the car for a little while, but it’s funny how life comes at you so fast. Email me with any questions/picture requests. I’m looking to get about 2000 for it, but I’m open to all offers. I’m also looking for a trade too if you are interested, motorcycles, cars, trucks, anything. Email me if any interest. Car is located in Orlando Florida, Oviedo area.
Thanks,
Steve

should be noted, car will need a clutch and probably a front mount. if it's a deal breaker, i will include the parts needed to fix it.
