I didn't say it isn't possible to build a 2.8t, but there is NO 2.8t offered from Audi. It would be a custom made set-up for the 2.8 or a swapped 2.7tt bored to 2.8 liters. Either way it would be a lot of work and cost and not worth it when you can get an easy 300hp out of a 1.8t.

I did tell him what he should get. You posted a custom one off that wouldn't be remotely cost effective. If he isn't familiar with Audi's he may go searching for this mythical 2.8t that you speak of, so I was just clearing up the whole issue and supporting my statement that he should get a 1.8tqm.
