FS: 91 Golf Project (2dr) 72k...best offer
Price: $500
I recently bought a 91 Alpine White Golf with a trashed interior. I haven't had much time to work on it and I am trying to start my own mobile detailing business, so I need a truck. I need to sell this car to fund a down payment. Unfortunately there is more bad than good.
The good:
Clean title in hand
8v motor with 72xxx miles
Straight body with minor surface rust
Non bent Wheels & Tires with what looks like 75% tread left (two are the same and two are mismatched)
New ignition switch with two door handles and key (not installed)
The bad:
No passenger window
No headliner
No carpet
No rear bench
No door panels (I have them but they aren't in the best shape)
I have both front seats but they aren't in the best condition
Car was sanded down to be painted but never got painted
A/C isn't hooked up but the stuff is there
Dash is pulled out but can be re-installed (dash has a crack)
Needs fuel pump
No battery
No rear seat belts
No headlights
I have a grille but I'm pretty sure there are some broken tabs
I have a radiator support (aero) but its not installed
Both big bumper skins are not installed (Front bumper is broken at the bottom, its not bad though)
Floors are in the middle of being torn up and then resprayed with 3M rubberized undercoating (only the passenger side is done). I did this because of the water damage to the carpets and floors and I wanted to get rid of the mildewy smell. For the right price I will finish tearing up the floors and I will put down the 3M. (if not ill give you the stuff)
Shifter bushings are loose (I think that's what its called. The shifter is loose but the tranny is good)
The fenders probably should be replaced because there are some dents (but its not essential)
Here's the story. I bought the car after it had been sitting outside in the rain for a year with a broken passenger window. The car had about 7 inches of water sitting on the floors so I pulled everything out and cleaned the hell out of it. I also stripped the rear windows of the peeling crappy tint that was on there and attempted to clean it out. I trashed the carpet and the headliner since it was already broken and I have everything else that I pulled out, which I will include with the car. I have pretty much everything that I pulled out, except the rear bench and the carpet and headliner. Honestly, all you need to get this thing running is a fuel pump and a battery...and I can install the new ignition switch if you want. Oh and you might want to get a passenger window unless you don't really care about it. The car has been garage kept since it has been in my possesion and has been safe from the rain.
You would probably have to tow the car away unless you bring a fuel pump and battery and we can install it at my house. Like stated earlier I have a clean title for it. I will post up some pics later when I get home from class. Throw me some offers, I need the money!
Some old pics. I can snap new pics if anybody wants...camera battery is dead at the moment though.

This is a soild platform for anyone looking for a project. I have seen the car in person. (helped with removing the dash)
It has minor dings here and there, but over all it's really clean.
