dude its a vw nothing cheap about any of them you love the car buy the stuff nuff said...i just dumped 3 grand in my vr...fudge id have one sweet honda for 3 grand in the top end...

^ but then you'd have a Honda... Every time I passed a vw wen I had my Honda I just wanted to crash into a wall or pull over and kill myself lol. That's just me tho. I dnt really like hondas I just get them so cheap I'd be dumb not to buy them usually. But if you love your vw and you build it right than it's well worth the wait and worth the money. I saw a 300k mile mk2 gti in Tampa not too long ago. Kid didn't know shit about cars it had never been rebuilt it didn't smoke or anything. It was just takin car. I'm probably just rambling but my point is if you love the car fuck what other ppl say and Fuck money you only live once go for it

bump by the way..
its cheap to mod any car if you know where to look and do research.
sure our cars are more expensive then hondas, but ours also dont sound like
screaming buttholes going down the road..
vehicle specific parts are really what it comes down to in prices.
pistons/manifolds/etc..

well i found and ecu on vorex for like 75 bucks the hardest part is going to be a tranny

I have always hated hondas. even when i had a nissan sentra, then a mazda tribute. Its just that this is something i am really interested in doing, but i do have other priorities. and after me buying this golf, the only other car my family will ever have is a ford truck. other than that, its all vw. lol. When Jesus asked for good cars, God said "Das Auto".
